Terms of Use

1.1 Definition of Terms

• "Service" refers to the English learning platform provided by Speak Mango.
• "Member" refers to a person who accesses the service and uses it in accordance with these Terms.
• "Account" refers to a member's registered profile and authentication credentials.
• "Course" refers to an English learning program offered by the service.
• "Paid Service" refers to a service that requires payment for course access.
• "Recurring Payment" refers to a payment method that auto-renews monthly.
• "Single Payment" refers to a one-time payment for permanent or limited-period access.
• "Content" refers to English expressions, dialogues, audio, and other learning materials provided within the service.

1.2 Effect and Modification of Terms

These Terms become effective when posted on the service screen or otherwise announced to members. The service may change these Terms to the extent that it does not violate relevant laws, and the changed Terms will be announced 7 days before the effective date.

2.1 Establishment of Use Agreement

The use agreement is concluded when a person who wants to become a member agrees to the contents of these Terms, applies for membership, and the service approves such application.

2.2 Membership Restrictions

The service may refuse or reserve approval for membership applications in the following cases.

• If the information is not real or uses another person's information.
• If false information is provided.
• If there is a history of service use restrictions or withdrawal.

3.1 Services Provided

• English learning content and study tools
• Course-based daily learning content delivery
• Native speaker pronunciation audio and dialogue learning materials
• Learner community features
• Study aids such as vocabulary lists, flashcards, and quizzes

3.2 Service Interruption

The service may be temporarily interrupted in the following cases.

• In case of system regular inspection, server expansion and replacement, etc.
• If normal service provision is impossible due to communication failure.
• In case of force majeure such as natural disasters or national emergencies.

If service interruption is scheduled, it will be announced in advance. If prior notice is not possible due to unavoidable reasons, it will be announced afterwards.

4.1 Member's Obligations

Members must not engage in the following acts.

• Using another person's information or providing false information.
• Unauthorized alteration or forgery of service information.
• Infringing on the intellectual property rights, such as copyrights, of the service or third parties.
• Damaging the reputation of or causing disadvantage to others.
• Posting or distributing obscene materials or violent messages.
• Hacking, distributing computer viruses, or otherwise disrupting the system.
• Spam, advertising, or abnormal behavior within the community.

4.2 Prohibited Content

The transmission of messages containing the following is strictly prohibited.

• Content that causes sexual shame or constitutes sexual harassment.
• Discriminatory or hateful expressions against specific individuals or groups.
• Content that encourages illegal acts or is related to crime.
• Dissemination of false information, fraud, etc.
• Commercial advertisements or spam messages.

Action in Case of Violation: Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension of service or permanent account deletion without warning, and legal action may be taken. In such cases, refunds for paid services already purchased are not available (see Section 9).

5.1 Course Payment

The service offers various English learning courses in recurring or single payment format. Each course's payment method, pricing, features, and delivery methods are displayed on the respective course page and may change with prior notice.

5.2 Auto-Renewal and Billing

Recurring payment courses auto-renew monthly and are billed automatically via PayPal. Members can cancel at any time through the service's My Page or their PayPal account. Service access remains until the end of the paid billing period. Single payment courses do not auto-renew and provide access for the period specified at the time of purchase.

5.3 Refund Policy

Refund requests can be made within 7 days of the payment date. However, if the service has already been used (course content accessed, learning content delivered, etc.), the refund may be restricted due to diminished value.

Note: The service may change the price and content of paid services after prior notice.

7.1 Reporting System

Members can report inappropriate behavior of other members through the community reporting function or the contact form. Reported content will be reviewed and appropriate action will be taken.

7.2 Sanctions

The following sanctions may be applied for violations of these Terms.

• Warning: First action for minor violations
• Temporary Suspension: Service use restriction for 7–30 days
• Permanent Suspension: Permanent account deletion for serious or repeated violations
• Legal Action: Prosecution by law enforcement agencies for criminal acts

Appeal: If you have an objection to the sanction, you can file an appeal within 7 days from the date of the action.

8.1 Service Exemption

The service is not liable in the following cases.

• If the service cannot be provided due to natural disasters or other force majeure.
• For service use impediment attributable to the member.
• For problems arising from personal information voluntarily disclosed by the member.
• For disputes arising from or related to interactions between members within the community.

8.2 Member's Responsibility

Members are responsible for securely managing their account information and for all activities that occur through their account.

9.1 Member Termination

Members can apply for withdrawal at any time, and the service will process the withdrawal immediately upon confirmation. Upon withdrawal, all personal information will be processed in accordance with relevant laws.

9.2 Service Termination and Non-Refund Policy

If a member violates these Terms, the service may terminate the use agreement or restrict service use after prior notice. However, in case of a serious violation, it may be terminated immediately. If the use agreement is terminated or service usage is restricted due to the member's fault (violation of these Terms), the member may not request a refund for any paid services purchased.

10.1 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The interpretation of these Terms and disputes related to the use of the service shall be governed by the laws of the country where the service provider is registered. Lawsuits for disputes arising from the use of the service shall be filed in the court of jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

10.2 Dispute Mediation

In the event of a dispute between the service and a member, if the member files a request for damage relief, it may be subject to mediation by the Fair Trade Commission or a dispute mediation body commissioned by it.
